“L” stands for “Liverano,” and “48” is the year our tailoring house was founded by the brothers Antonio and Luigi. L-48 is the nickname we have given to this garment since its inception, about ten years ago. At the time, it was a soft suede jacket that, season after season, has established itself as one of our most iconic casual pieces.
The contrast between the delicateness of goat suede and the rustic look of cotton canvas prompted us to dare to inaugurate a new concept of field jacket. The L-48 in canvas has acquired new features while maintaining its distinctive ones. The material has in fact imposed the study of new solutions and the introduction of new details that increase its functionality and pleasure of use. We removed the mesh lining and the two internal pockets that mirror the external ones. In addition, we added a system of adjustable internal straps that allow you to wear the garment like a backpack in order to keep the body cool during the warm summer days.
